Yoga & Wellness Day @ Harvey's Point Hotel this September

Hello folks! Its been such a busy end to the summer with retreat catering, doing some tasty recipes for some new collaborations (watch this space!) and topping it all off with Theatre of Food at Electric Picnic! With September suddenly apon us it is so easy to feel like we are just steamrolling from one season to the next, with no chance to take stock of where we are, how we are and what we are looking for from the months ahead!

With that in mind I’m very excited to tell you about an event I’ll be hosting in the wonderful Harvey’s Point with Blaithin from Wellbeing with Blaithin.

I wanted to create this day as I know well how it feels to start September run down - a crazy summer work schedule, a bit sick from the change of season and all in all just feeling a little deflated heading into the crisp autumn ahead. The back to school madness as well as people getting settled into a more structured work routine after the holidays can certainly compound this. So I thought it would be so cool to create a day where we could get together, eat delicious nourishing food, have a restorative yoga practice and relax in the gorgeous surroundings of Lough Eske - a little time to take stock on how to have a little more chill and a lot less stress in our daily lives.

The Day

The morning kicks off with an intro from me on some ways to incorporate more natural foods and products into your routine and some simple ways to make keeping fit and getting outside that bit easier as we settle in to our surrounds and find out a little more about what the afternoon has to offer.

Then Blaithin will take you through a restorative yoga practice as well as covering ways that we can learn to deal with stress in our daily lives so we can face each day happier and a little less anxious.

Then we will take a short tea (and maybe a sneaky coffee) break with some delicious treats before I take you through a demo of some of my go-to recipes from breakfast to dinner (and dessert!) that are perfect for prepping for a busy work week or a bustling family. All the recipes can be made with ease, no fancy equipment, using affordable ingredients you can get in your regular grocery shop!

To top off the day we will have a sumptuous lunch created by the world class chef’s of Harvey’s Point that we have designed especially for the day to leave you feeling energized!

After this if you wish you can take a wander through the gorgeous trails around Harvey’s Point and Lough Eske or head off relaxed and invigorated to take on the new season!
